I Heart

Hello, February!  Long time, no see.  I suppose that means it's time to make some valentines.  Psych!  I already did.....and I took pictures of them.
They're teeny...just a few inches across.  This is to ensure that you don't get too wordy when gushing about your love on the back and so you don't have to write too terribly much to those you just like or like like, not love.  And they're not all pink and red because I think the other colors feel left out on Valentine's Day, and we can't have that.
In case anyone is wondering how these came to be, let me explain (ie, pretend I'm a craft blog....all the cool kids do tutorials!).  I cut the above shapes out of chip board.  Then I glued the hearts to the rectangles and dried them under something heavy to keep them flat.
Then I painted them with acrylics (several coats for the white). When they were pretty much dry, I put them back under something heavy to flatten them out again.
Then I had a photo shoot and decided I would probably not give any of these away because I like them together.
It may appear that I smeared baby poop on that top-left one, but I promise it's a lovely grassy green in real life.  Maybe your monitor is more forgiving than mine.
Of course, I had to throw in some gold pleather....because nothing says You're swell  or I adore you like some shimmer.
This is me being casual.  But I might profess undying love on the other side....undying love for texture and clean and simple holiday accoutrements. And for you.  Thanks for reading.

  1. These are so cute! I am trying to come up with something that will be easy enough to make enough for 2 classrooms. I'm thinking that I might do some kind paper sewing.

  4. These are "so stinking cute", that I had to pull out my Utah vernacular.

Oh, and I saw this today on a blog and thought- "Hey1 Annilygreen is making jewelry now!" Jokes on me, it's overpriced Anthropologie.

  5. You were planning on sending me one of these, right? Because I would frame it like a little piece of artwork.
