My Mountain

This is Mount Timpanogos, the peak that looks over my town. She looks different every day,  depending on the weather and pollution, and I take a picture any time I get a clear shot (then I crop out all the unsightly power lines and pesky trees for drama).

I know our mountains are the result of tectonic troubles that are destined to come again (have I mentioned that I'm ridiculously afraid of earthquakes....like I wish I could live in a tent because a tent can't crush you), but they make me feel safe and inspired.

  1. Awesome photos! I've seen them all on instagram, but it's cool to see them here all together, too :)

  4. I feel the same about earthquakes! Everyday we lived in Utah ( in our two story, brick, pioneer house) I imagined what would happen when the big one hit and we were buried in the rubble.... I think my fear of earthquakes dates back to the first time I saw land before time and little foot was separated from his mom by that huge crack in the earth. Anyways, I do miss the mountains and your pictures are beautiful.
