My Mountain
This is Mount Timpanogos, the peak that looks over my town. She looks different every day, depending on the weather and pollution, and I take a picture any time I get a clear shot (then I crop out all the unsightly power lines and pesky trees for drama).
I know our mountains are the result of tectonic troubles that are destined to come again (have I mentioned that I'm ridiculously afraid of earthquakes....like I wish I could live in a tent because a tent can't crush you), but they make me feel safe and inspired.

Awesome photos! I've seen them all on instagram, but it's cool to see them here all together, too :)
ReplyDeleteThe sky is so big in the west. Enjoy it. I miss it.
ReplyDeleteThey look even better put together like that!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same about earthquakes! Everyday we lived in Utah ( in our two story, brick, pioneer house) I imagined what would happen when the big one hit and we were buried in the rubble.... I think my fear of earthquakes dates back to the first time I saw land before time and little foot was separated from his mom by that huge crack in the earth. Anyways, I do miss the mountains and your pictures are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThese are so stunning; I also love them in one collection! Seeing the mountains is what I miss most about Utah.
